The recent collapse of the Francis Scott Key Bridge is expected to result in travel delays in the area for the next several months. Members whose medical care is impacted by this incident will need to allow extra travel time to care appointments or consider alternatives. Members who receive home care should also plan for delivery delays of equipment or medication as care schedules adjust to new traffic patterns. Our focus is to ensure that you get the care you need.
Here’s what you can do:
- Consider using telehealth for a video visit with your doctor instead of having an in-person appointment. Call your doctor’s office and ask if this service is available.
- Consider getting your prescriptions delivered by mail if possible. We can help you get started.
- Do you have an upcoming appointment but need to reschedule it? Please do so as soon as possible.
- Call our Customer Service team for assistance at 800-654-9728, Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. TTY: call 711.
We expect inconveniences and delays to impact members in the months to come and are committed to providing support and ensuring members get the care they need when they need it.
The tragedy of the bridge collapse, the loss of life and shock to the community has deeply saddened all of us. Priority Partners thanks our members and community partners for their patience and trust as we work to adapt and move beyond this national tragedy.
